It astounds me that desserts often include so much refined sugar. I now struggle to deal with sugary dishes, but already find plenty of sweetness in baked desserts such as this: Apple and Berry Crumble topped with chopped Toasted Almonds, Soy Custard and a dash of Oatly Cream. Plenty of sweetness comes from cooking the Apples with a dash of Rice Syrup, which combines beautifully with the tartness of the Berry Fruit. Another Nicky Clinch creation.
