‘What we need is a new language. A language of the heart. Some kind of language between people that is a new kind of poetry. It’s the poetry of the dancing bee that tells us where the honey is. And I think that in order to create the language, you’re going to have to learn how you can go through a looking glass into another land of perception, where you have that sense of being united to all things. And suddenly, you understand everything.’ – Andre, from ‘My Dinner with Andre’ Louis Malle, (1981). I watched this movie last night, fresh from enjoying a similar conversation with a friend, over a meal. During the conversation, we talked about the iEvolve programme on offer at the Concord Institute: one such invitation to go through a looking glass, which Andre speaks of so poetically. The next iEvolve is scheduled for March 16, 17, 18 & 21.
